NEET UG 2025 Exam City Selection Process Update
Key Changes:
- Aspirants can now select three cities as against two earlier.
- In the country the total number of NEET UG 2025 examination centres have been decreased. The number of examination centres for NEET UG 2025 stands at 552 (last year, there were 557).
- Candidates can choose examination cities from the state of their permanent/present address.
- In case, adequate number of aspirants does not choose the examination centre with a regional language, then NTA can allocate examination centres in other cities which are not among the selected by the aspirants.
- NTA has revised the time for opening examination centre to 3 hours from the examination time.

The registrations for the NEET UG 2025 has been begun by National Testing Agency (NTA) The application link for the examination is available on the official website of NEET UG, https://neet.nta.nic.in/.

- Date of exam: May 4, 2025
- Duration of exam: 180 minutes (3 hours)
- Timing: 02:00 PM — 05:00 PM (IST)
- Opening of Online Application Form : February 7, 2025
- Closing of Online Application Form : March 7, 2025 ( Up to 11:50 PM)
- Last date of fee transaction success: 07 March, 2025 (upto 11:50 PM)
- Rectification of particulars in the application: 9 March to 11 March 2025

NTA Revert Question Paper Exam Pattern to Pre-Covid Format
In its recent notification dated 25 January, NTA announced to all NEET UG 2025 candidates appearing for the exam that the paper pattern and exam duration will return to pre-COVID format. There will be no Section B, so there will now be a total of 180 questions in Section A (45 from Physics, 45 from Chemistry and 90 from Biology) that the candidates must complete within 180 minutes (3 hours). Candidates must keep themselves updated and regularly check the official NTA website neet. nta. nic. in for further updates.
NTA recommends Aadhaar update ahead of commencement of NEET UG 2025 registration
The candidates must bring their updated Aadhar, preferably as 10th Marksheet/Passing Certificate. Make sure that your Aadhaar is already linked with a valid mobile number (to receive OTPs) to make the NEET registration process seamless.
